Short answer

Add Cosend’s free tools to Claude as a custom connector. They need no sign-in. Then paste your template and ask Claude to check it. You get a list of what breaks Meta’s rules, what Meta may question, and what to change. No check can promise that Meta approves it.

What the free tools are

Cosend runs a second MCP address for free tools, with no sign-in:

https://mcp.cosend.app/free

It has three tools:

  • Check a template before Meta reviews it (template_check)
  • Make a WhatsApp chat link (whatsapp_link), a wa.me link and its QR code
  • See what a WhatsApp message costs (message_cost), Meta’s list price in a country

They read and change no one’s data, and they use no AI. They answer 30 requests a minute from one address. Each answer ends with one line about what Cosend does.

Add the free tools to Claude

These steps follow Anthropic’s help page on custom connectors, read on 30 October 2026.

  1. In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Enter a name, for example “Cosend free tools”.
  4. Enter the address https://mcp.cosend.app/free and click Continue.
  5. Check the settings Claude detected and click Continue.
  6. Under Authentication, choose No sign in.
  7. Click Add.
  8. In a chat, click the + button, select Connectors, and turn the connector on.

Anthropic says Free users of Claude are limited to one custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds the connector first.

Check your template

  1. Write your template as you plan to submit it: the category (marketing, utility or authentication), the language, the text, any buttons, and an example for every variable.
  2. Paste it into the chat and ask: “Check this template before I submit it to Meta.”
  3. Claude sends it to the check. Nothing is submitted to Meta.
  4. Read the verdict. It is one of three:
    • fix_first: at least one error. The template breaks one of Meta’s rules.
    • warnings: no errors, but something Meta may question.
    • ready: no errors and no warnings.
  5. Each problem says where it is, which rule it is, what is wrong and what to change. Ask Claude to rewrite the template and check it again.

What the check catches

Errors are Meta’s exact rules. The check looks at:

  • button limits and how buttons are grouped
  • the header, body and footer lengths
  • a variable at the start or the end of the body
  • variables out of order, side by side, or alone on a line
  • a variable with no example, or with a special character

Warnings are signals Meta names without a fixed rule:

  • more variables than words
  • promotional wording in a utility template
  • a body too short to say what it is for
  • a request for card, account or ID numbers
  • a threat

What no check can promise

Ready is not an approval. Meta still reviews every template itself, and only Meta decides. The check helps you fix the mistakes Meta’s rules name before you submit.

If you use Cosend with Claude, the same check is on Cosend’s signed-in address too. There, Claude can also send a template to Meta for review, but only after you confirm the exact template, and at most ten a day per workspace.

Common questions

Do I need a Cosend account to use the check?

No. The free tools address needs no sign-in and reads or changes no one’s data.

If the check says ready, will Meta approve my template?

Not for sure. Ready means the check found no problem. Meta still reviews every template itself and makes its own decision.

Does the check use AI?

No. It answers from the template you send and Meta’s published rules. Claude explains the answer to you.
