Custom distribution first

A custom app installs on your store with no Shopify review and no App Store listing, so you can be live the day the connection is made. The public-app route is a later project with its own review queue.

The last 60 days of orders

That is Shopify’s default access window. Reading older orders needs a separate approval from Shopify, and every flow here is about new orders and live checkouts.
